Our History
In 1973, Ted and Dolores Jarosz founded T.J. Assemblies in the basement of their family home in Chicago. With the support of their eight sons, their vision was to establish a business with the potential to endure for generations. Through their remarkable work ethic, integrity, and dedication, they possessed all the essential qualities needed to build a successful enterprise.
Initially, T.J. Assemblies focused primarily on pin and terminal insertion for the bobbin industry. In the 1980's the company expanded its opererations. It continued to concentrate on the bobbin sector, but shifted from merely pinning to developing its own line of stock bobbins. Additionally, numerous bobbin manufacturers began to rely on T.J. Assemblies for their pinning needs. What began as a modest family operation grew in line with their vision.
Sadly, in 1988, Ted Jarosz passed away. Shortly thereafter, Dolores transferred ownership of the business to her eight sons. By the mid-1990s, all eight sons were actively involved in the company. With over two decades of experience, T.J. Assemblies began diversifying its services beyond bobbins into assembly work and various other specialized services.
In the 2000's T.J. Assemblies saw considerable expansion in both bobbin production and assembly services. In 2014, the company acquired the bobbin and component lines from United Technical Products (UTP), thereby strengthening its ability to better serve its customers. In 2020 a notable milestone was reached when the fourth generation of the Jarosz family was employed by the company.
Today, four of the eight Jarosz brothers continue to own and operate the business. The company has integrated robotics, automation, and other advanced technologies to maintain high quality standards while optimizing cost efficiency. We remain dedicated to the values instilled by our parents over 50 years ago, with a steadfast commitment to excellence, meticulous work, and a focus on customer satisfaction remaining pivotal to the company's ongoing success.
